Cassano close to Samp move
Real Madrid's Antonio Cassano is close to ending his Real Madrid nightmare after Sampdoria have agreed personal terms with the striker. Man City had attempted to hijack the deal but Cassano is not willing to move to the Premiership.
After Real Madrid president Roman Calderon told the controversial player he had no future at the club, various Italian sides have all taken an interest in the talented striker. However, it looks as if Sampdoria have won the race for his signature.
Sampdoria officials will be meeting in Madrid on Monday and Tuesday to finalise the terms of the deal which is expected to set Sampdoria back a total of 9m EUR over 3 seasons.
