Jordan Pickford has Everton medical ahead of summer move
Everton have reportedly put goalkeeper Jordan Pickford through a series of medical tests ahead of his proposed move to the club from Sunderland. The 23-year-old is currently on international duty with the England Under-21s where he had undergone the medical procedure.
Pickford will become the Toffees' club-record signing at £30m while he has also shattered the previous sum paid for an English goalkeeper - Chris Kirkland to Liverpool in 2001.
The young shot-stopper has produced a number of standout performances between the sticks since his first-team debut back in January last year, and this earned him his maiden call-up to the Three Lions squad last term.
Pickford is due to complete his Toffees switch following the Under-21 European championships, and he will be eager to make significant progress in order to break into Gareth Southgate's team.
The Black Cats graduate made the most saves on average per game last season (4.7) as he kept Sunderland within Premier League safety until April, where it all went pear-shaped.
