English striker wants to join Man Utd this summer

Brentford striker Ivan Toney has his sights on joining Manchester United in the current transfer window, according to Christian Falk.

The England international had a difficult 2023/24 campaign with the Bees following his return from an eight-month betting ban.

He started off brilliantly with four goals in five games, but failed to find the back of the net in his next 12 appearances for the season.

Despite this, Toney continues to be highly valued by his suitors, considering he could be back to his best after a full pre-season in training.

United are one of his long-term admirers and Falk claims that they want to sign the 28-year-old despite the purchase of Joshua Zirkzee.

Toney has already given the green light for the transfer and Falk reports that the same has been conveyed to Brentford through his agent.

United still need to make a formal proposal to the Bees for the marksman. They are said to be eyeing around £60m for their prized asset.
