Manchester United target hints at contract extension
Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar has confirmed that he is close to securing a fresh long-term contract which would cease the ongoing speculation regarding his future.
The Slovakia international joined the Nerazzurri from Sampdoria in the summer of 2017 and he has since been a crucial performer at the heart of the club's defence with 70 starts across all competitions.
As such, his showing has caught the attention of the likes of Manchester United and Barcelona but the interest may come to no avail with the defender close to extending his deal with the Nerazzurri, he told Sky Italia: "My contract renewal? We are close. I have a great relationship with the club."
Skriniar currently has more than three years remaining on his existing deal with the club but his agent is said to have encouraged the contract discussions after talking up the interest from some of Europe's elite clubs.
