Felix on United radar

Manchester United are understood to be monitoring the proceedings of Benfica's Joao Felix ahead of a potential move for his signature in the summer.

The 19-year-old is regarded as one of the best young talents in Portugal and he has already notched 14 goals and five assists across all competitions for Benfica this term.

According to A Bola, United were one of the clubs keeping a close eye on the youngster over the weekend where he scored in a 4-2 Benfica win over Setubal in the Primeira Liga.

It is added that the Red Devils are prepared to make a summer approach to sign the teenager, though they are unlikely to match the £103m release clause on the player's contract.

Felix has recently been dubbed as the new 'Ronaldo' by Benfica president Luis Felipe Vieira. He has said that the club are in no rush to sanction the player's sale, unless the buy-out clause is met.
