De Ligt on verge of Juventus transfer deal

According to multiple reports, Matthijs De Ligt has agreed personal terms with Juventus and will agree a transfer move in the coming two weeks. It is understood that Juve will pay up to a fee of 100 million euros with Ajax for the talented defender.

Super agent Mino Raiola, who represents De Ligt, has informed the media that the club and player have agreed terms: “Agreements have been made with Matthijs and it is up to Ajax how the club wants to deal with this."

The 19-year-old centre-back, who has played 17 times for the Netherlands and is considered one of the best defenders in the world at the age of just 19, has admitted he is likely to leave Ajax this summer and follow fellow starlet Frenkie De Jong out of the Dutch club.

It is understood that Man Utd were in the race to sign De Ligt, but have now turned their attentions back to signing Leicester City defender Harry Maguire after being given verbal notification from De Ligt's agent Raiola that his client would be moving to Serie A instead.
