Borussia Monchengladbach have completed a move for highly-rated 21-year-old attacker Marcus Thuram in a deal worth around 14 million euros. The player, who can play as a forward or as a winger, is the son of famous defender Lilian Thuram and has penned a four year deal with the Bundesliga club.

Thuram has emerged through Guingamp's squad as a first-team regular since making his debut in 2017, bagging 17 goals in 72 games for the French club. Prior to Guingamp, Thuram had a spell with Sochaux.

Monchengladbach are confident they have secured the transfer of one of Europe's best up and coming young talents in Thuram and the striker will triple his salary in Germany.

It is understood that Monchengladbach have beaten several teams to Thuram's signature, including fellow German rivals RB Leipzig as well as French duo Marseille and Monaco. It had been reported previously that Arsenal were also interested in Thuram.

Thuram has played 5 times for France's under-21 side and prior to that had played for the French international side at every level.
