Forlan linked with Spurs

Tottenham have been linked with a move for Uruguayan forward Diego Forlan. Spurs are preparing an enormous £12 million offer for the Atletico Madrid striker; and Forlan himself is reportedly ready to return to the Premiership.

A move to Tottenham would be a second spell in the league; but Forlan also has other offers in the table from Italian giants AC Milan and Spanish rivals Barcelona.

Forlan could be lined up by Tottenham as a replacement for Dimitar Berbatov, whose future has continuously been under debate as his agent touts his client to larger clubs.

AC Milan have been linked with Berbatov; and Forlan could be a ready made replacement for the Bulgarian - and with a proving goalscoring record.
