Chelsea favourites to sign Bundesliga sensation next month

Chelsea are reportedly regarded as the favourites to land the signature of Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund when the transfer window reopens in the New Year.

The west London giants are expected to look into reinforcements at the beginning of the year and manager Frank Lampard has personally stated the need to add a new attacker to the ranks.

As as result, there have been linked with a number of top-notch players across Europe but The Sun claims that Sancho has emerged as the prime target for Lampard ahead of January.

Dortmund have no desire to lose Sancho at the midway stage of the season but the Blues are prepared to finalise a club-record transfer before sending him back to the Bundesliga outfit for the rest of the season on loan.

Sancho, who has bagged 12 goals and 13 assists for Dortmund this term, is expected to cost around £120m due to the strong competition from the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool.
