Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reacts after Manchester United's loss at Watford
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has said that the club are in transition following the shock 2-0 Premier League defeat to bottom side Watford on the road.
The Red Devils were overwhelming favourites to beat the Hornets at Vicarage Road but they came on the wrong side of a 2-0 result after a couple of individual defensive mistakes.
Speaking after the game,Solskjaer acknowledged that there are no excuses for the away defeat but added that the club are still going through the process of a rebuild.
"We are very disappointed today, but four hours ago we would have talked about this more positively. We know we have started something with the rebuild, but today, at this moment, I am very disappointed," he told.
United missed the chance to stay in touch with fourth-placed Chelsea in the league standings and they are now seven points behind the Blues, who picked up a well-earned 2-0 triumph at Tottenham Hotspur.
The Mancunian giants are scheduled to face Newcastle United at home in their next league game and that could be another tricky challenge with the Magpies having beaten them in the reverse fixture back in October.
