United to end Fernandes interest?

Manchester United are reportedly prepared to walk away from a potential deal for Bruno Fernandes due to the transfer demands of Sporting Lisbon.

The Portuguese has been heavily tipped to join the club over the past few weeks and reports have emerged that the midfielder has already agreed personal terms with the club.

However, the club are yet to finalise a transfer fee with Sporting and it appears that the talks have reached an impasse with the Portuguese reluctant to reduce their £66m price tag.

According to ESPN, the Red Devils have no intention of meeting the asking price and they have indicated that they won't pay anything more than £60m (including add-ons) for the playmaker.

Sporting are indeed experiencing financial concerns for which they are looking to sell Fernandes but so far, they have refused to bow to the proposal made by the Red Devils.

Fernandes has amassed 13 goals and 10 assists for Sporting in the Primeira Liga and Europa this term. He recently featured in their 2-0 league defeat to Benfica on Friday night.
