Manchester United are aiming to recoup around £28m from the sales of Diogo Dalot and Marcos Rojo this summer.

The Red Devils have bolstered their squad this summer with the purchase of Donny van de Beek from Ajax and they are aiming to bring in at least two more players before the deadline next month.

Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho has been identified as the main transfer target, but they have failed to negotiate on the hefty £108m asking price set by the German side.

While the club are still optimistic of landing Sancho, the hierarchy are aware of the need to recoup some of the funds spent and they are prepared to sanction the sales of both Dalot and Rojo.

Dalot was purchased from Porto for around £20.5m in 2018, but he has barely started for the club due to the competition for places in both full-back positions.

The Red Devils want a similar transfer fee in order to part ways with Dalot this summer. On the other hand, Rojo is valued at around £7.5m amid interest from several Serie A sides including Lazio.
