Arsenal to make fresh move for RB Leipzig playmaker

Christopher Nkunku news

Nkunku back on Arsenal radar

Arsenal are set to make a renewed attempt to sign Christopher Nkunku when the transfer window reopens in two months' time.

Nkunku was linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium in 2019 when he was contracted to Paris Saint-Germain.

However, he eventually made the switch to RB Leipzig, where he has evolved into a key player from the starting lineup.

According to Bild, the Gunners have been impressed with the Frenchman's displays and they could make a January approach to sign him.

Still, their chances of landing his signature are slim, considering he has more than three years left on his contract with the Bundesliga side.

Nkunku has bagged six goals and 19 assists from 55 appearances and he recently scored against Les Parisiens in the 2-1 win in the Champions League.

He was recruited for a fee of only £12m last summer. It is reported that Leipzig could demand at least three times the figure to consider his exit.
