Spurs chasing David Villa

Tottenham are lining up David Villa as a replacement for Dimitar Berbatov should the Bulgarian decide to leave the club. Spurs are considering a £25 million offer to land the Spanish forward from Valencia.

Tottenham are likely to move to for the Spaniard if they can meet Valencia's asking price.

David Villa recently admitted he was interested in a move to the Premiership, but had initially chosen Arsenal as his first-choice destination.

However, the prospect of linking up with fellow countryman Juande Ramos could seal the deal.
