Man Utd midfielder ruled out of Newcastle clash
Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay won't play any part in the upcoming Premier League game against Newcastle United.
The Scotland international has been a regular starter in the Premier League this term, but Casemiro was picked ahead of him to face Everton.
During that game, McTominay came on as a late substitute but still managed to get himself booked for the fifth time in the league campaign.
As a result, he will now serve an automatic one-game ban. This could be a blessing in disguise for Casemiro, who has the chance to seal his spot.
Meanwhile, McTominay's league suspension means that he will most certainly start for United in Thursday's Europa League encounter.
The Red Devils will be hosting Omonia at Old Trafford. It should be a straightforward win for United despite their struggles last week.
United only beat Omonia by a 3-2 score on the road. The margin of victory should have been much wider, had they grabbed their scoring chances.
