Riise would join Newcastle

John Arne Riise could be set for a move to Newcastle in the summer. The Liverpool left back had been linked with a £3 million switch in January, but decided to stay at the club.

“He is still our player at the moment and he knows if we receive a good offer - good for him and the club - it could be,” said Reds boss Rafael Benitez. “But he is a fantastic professional.”

Now this summer Riise has been told he could be allowed to move, and Kevin Keegan looks set to make another bid for the player.
