Chelsea looking to beat Arsenal to Danish star?
Chelsea are reportedly looking to beat Arsenal to the signing of Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund this summer.
The west London giants are aiming to land a new striker in the next transfer window and Hojlund is one of their top targets.
It is now reported that the Blues have already spoken with Atalanta's CEO and they plan to make a formal bid for him soon.
Arsenal have also been linked with the 20-year-old, but the Blues may have the advantage when it comes to the transfer package.
While the Gunners are willing to pay around €50 million, it is claimed that the Blues could offer as much as €68m for the young Dane.
Arsenal were not prepared to enter a bidding war with Chelsea for Mykhaylo Mudryk in January. It could be a similar case for Hojlund.
The Gunners are willing to spend big on players this summer but they are not prepared to pay over the odds to pursue anyone.
