Man Utd and Chelsea eyeing deal for Spanish midfielder

Manchester United and Chelsea are interested in landing the services of Celta Vigo midfielder Gabri Veiga this summer.

The Spaniard has been a key player for the La Liga outfit this term, bagging nine goals and four assists from 30 league games.

His progress has caught the eye of many European clubs and Sport claim that he is open to moving abroad as well.

Real Madrid and Barcelona are admirers of the youngster but they are reluctant to trigger his €40m release clause.

This opens the door for foreign clubs and it is claimed that United and Chelsea are weighing up bids for him.

Veiga has been described as one of the best young talents in Spanish football and could have a big future.

A move to the Premier League could be ideal for him as he is a technical player with a good vision in attack.

Veiga has the ability to play in the attacking and central midfield positions. He prefers to operate in the latter.
