Chelsea target Moises Caicedo to hold talks with Brighton
Chelsea target Moises Caicedo is prepared to hold talks with Brighton & Hove Albion in order to lower the asking price.
The Blues have already made four bids for the midfielder this summer. Their recent proposal of £80 million was deemed insufficient.
Brighton are quite clear that they want £100m on the table for the Ecuadorian. The Blues are reluctant to pay the figure at the moment.
As per The Times, Caicedo alongside his representatives are expected to hold a fresh round of talks with Brighton over the price tag.
The player believes the £80m offer for him was more than fair, and he is likely to urge the Seagulls to lower their current valuation.
Chelsea are still interested in signing Caicedo, but they may not be patient for long. Romeo Lavia is the alternative target for the club.
Lavia is currently the subject of advanced talks between Southampton and Liverpool. Chelsea need to act fast to avoid losing him.
