Everton set to sign Beto

Beto set for Premier League move?

Everton will complete the signing of Beto from Portimonense this weekend, who will join the Toffees after spending one season on loan at Udinese last campaign. Beto scored 11 goals in 28 games for the Serie A club and the Toffees will pay around £19.5 million for the 25-year-old striker.

Beto has emerged through the ranks in his home country of Portugal playing for Benfica for a short stint, before arriving at Uniao Tires where he made his first professional appearance. Thereafter, a move to Olimpico Montijo followed, before finally stepping up to Primeira Liga side Portimonense in 2019.

The 6 foot 4 striker has caught the eye and Everton are desperate to sign attacking backup as we head into the third game of the Premier League season.

Beto was linked with a move to Everton in January and but were unable to agree a transfer fee for the Portuguese forward.

The player has a 35 million euro release fee clause in his contract, but the Toffees understand a deal can be agreed well below that number and are confident the player will sign before the transfer window closes.
