Gomes: I must leave PSV
PSV goalkeeper Gomes has revealed that he is keen to leave the Dutch giants as soon as possible, with Tottenham and Chelsea both considering a move for the player. The Brazilian has fallen out with coach Sef Vergoossen, and is keen to make a move elsewhere.
Gomes said: "The directors just continue with all kinds of stories (about me)," he said. "I see that as a lack of respect towards me and for what I have done for the club. For four years I have done my absolute best.
"After this episode it is very difficult to continue at PSV. I leave the club with a very sad feeling and will go on as supporter of the club. I always said that PSV is my home.
Vergoossen, who will be replaced by Huub Stevens in the summer, is the latest person Gomes has hit out against.
"The club chiefs took no action at all even after Vergoossen called me a Judas and anti-social.
"Everyone in the group knows I am not a Judas and also not anti-social. That is exactly the reason why all the players respect me."
