Sidwell: I'm happy at Chelsea
Steve Sidwell is reportedly happy at Chelsea, despite the interest of several clubs. Sidwell is believed to be earning £50,000 a week and is keen to continue his current wage.
Middlesbrough and Aston Villa are both considering a move for the player, but his agent has poured scorn on rumours, suggesting Sidwell is happy at the club.
âSteven is very happy at Chelsea,â agent Eric Walters told the Evening Gazette. âIf Chelsea accept a bid for him then that will be a different matter and Steven would have to think about his future.
âIâm not saying he would welcome the offer or disregard it. If Middlesbrough made a bid and Chelsea accepted it then he would have to look at his options.
âHis situation is heâs under contract to Chelsea for another three years and there hasnât been any indication from the club that they want to sell him. Steven is happy to stay and fight for his place.â
