Man Utd receive boost in signing Chelsea defender
Manchester United have received a boost in signing Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah this summer.
The Red Devils are eyeing a replacement for Raphael Varane and Chalobah is reportedly one of their top centre-back targets.
The club have now been handed a boost in the pursuit with Chelsea's decision to sign Tosin Adarabioyo on a free transfer.
Adarabioyo's arrival could pave the way for the departure of Chalobah with the Blues needing to balance their books this month.
The west London giants need to recoup £100m from player exits before July 1 and they could offload club graduates.
This would represent pure profit for the club. United are interested in Chalobah and could sign him for around £25m.
Aside from Chalobah, the likes of Conor Gallaghar, Ian Maatsen and Armando Broja are expected to be sold by the Blues.
The club are planning another huge spending spree after player sales. A marquee striker is one of their top summer priorities.
