West Ham to return for McTominay?

West Ham United could revive their interest in landing Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay this summer.

The Hammers were keen on bringing the Scotland international to the London Stadium last year, but they were unable to strike a deal.

McTominay was also happy to continue with the Red Devils, but the scenario could be entirely different in a few months.

United need to recoup funds before they can spend big in the transfer market and McTominay is one of the sellable assets.

McTominay's sale would represent pure profit when it comes to Financial Fair Play and United are likely to consider as a result.

The midfielder has yet to reveal his stance, but there is an anticipation that the Hammers will make a fresh move for the Scot.

West Ham were willing to pay around £30m for McTominay last summer and they could propose a similar fee later this year.

McTominay has been a regular on the bench for United this term, but he has still contributed nine goals across all competitions.
