Tottenham set to battle Chelsea for Athletic winger

Tottenham Hotspur are set to compete with Chelsea in the race to sign Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams this summer.
The 21-year-old is regarded as one of the best attackers in La Liga and he has been touted to pursue a bigger challenge next season.
Williams has been on the radar of the Blues in recent weeks and they are said to be planning to trigger the €50m release clause in his deal.
However, the Blues are set to face fierce competition in the form of Spurs, who have high ambitions under manager Ange Postecoglou.
The north London outfit have had a mixed campaign under Ange, but they are currently on course to qualify for the Champions League.
The club are presently fourth in the league standings with 60 points on the board, the same as Aston Villa who have played one game more.
Fifth spot could also be sufficient to make the Champions League. England could secure one of the extra spots by finishing in the top two of the UEFA co-efficient rankings this season.
