Arsenal looking into deal for Brazilian striker

Arsenal are monitoring the performances of Porto striker Evanilson ahead of a possible move for his services.

The Gunners are on the hunt for a new centre-forward and they are keeping tabs on multiple transfer targets.

Evanilson is one of those who has impressed them and Record claim that they have been monitoring him closely.

The same outlet add that the Gunners could make an approach to sign him when the transfer window reopens.

The 24-year-old has netted 22 goals and provided six assists for Porto. He is currently enjoying his best spell.

He is still open to pursuing a bigger challenge in the Premier League. It is left to be seen whether Arsenal move for him.

Evanilson currently has a release clause worth €100m in his deal and it is unlikely that Arsenal will pay such a price.

The Brazilian ace has the habit of picking up minor niggles and he would be a risky signing for such a huge outlay.

Unless he is available for around €50m, the Gunners may look at alternate options in the summer transfer market.
