Man Utd can now sign French defender for £21m

Manchester United have the chance to sign Nice defender Jean-Clair Todibo on the cheap this summer.

The Frenchman was a top target for the Red Devils last summer, but they could not afford the £34m price tag before the transfer deadline.

Todibo continues to remain on their radar and L'Equipe claim that he could be sold for a cut-price fee of around £21m in the coming weeks.

The former Barcelona man has his sights on pursuing a bigger challenge from Nice who failed to qualify for next season's Champions League.

A move to the Premier League could be on the cards with both United and Tottenham Hotspur likely to make proposals for his signature.

Spurs were determined to recruit him at the beginning of the year, but they eventually chose to land Radu Dragusin from Genoa instead.

The north London giants could provide strong competition to the Red Devils in the pursuit of the France international this summer.
