Liverpool have to convince 25yo star to join them

Liverpool will have to convince Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi over a summer transfer, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Spaniard has emerged as a top target for the Reds this week and they have opened talks with Sociedad over a potential deal.

The Merseyside giants are prepared to pay most of the €60m release clause up front, but the final decision will rest on the midfielder.

Zubimendi has been reluctant to leave his hometown over the years. He has turned down Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Barcelona.
