Chelsea striker set to stay as AEK fail to agree terms
Chelsea striker David Datro Fofana looks set to stay at the club until January with AEK Athens reluctant to meet the asking price.
The Ivorian has been deemed surplus to requirements by the Blues and the hierarchy prefer to offload him on a permanent basis.
AEK recently expressed an interest in signing the centre-forward. Talks were advanced, but they have been put off by the demands.
Chelsea are aiming to recoup the £8m fee paid to Molde for Fofana, but AEK remain reluctant to pay more than £4m for the striker.
With the huge difference in the valuation between the clubs, Fofana could stay in west London until the beginning of 2025 at least.
Chelsea have offered the 21-year-old to Turkish Super Lig clubs, but none of them are prepared to discuss a permanent transfer for him.
Fofana could train with the development squad at Chelsea in the coming months before securing a possible exit in the New Year.
