Chelsea to make shock move for Kobbie Mainoo?

Chelsea could make a shock approach for Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo amid his contract stand-off with the Red Devils, according to Daily Mail.
Mainoo has been one of the best young midfielders in the Premier League and he recently stood out during the 2-2 Premier League draw against Liverpool at Anfield.
Despite the positives, his future is uncertain at the club. His current deal expires in two years and the Red Devils have yet to meet his £200,000 per week demand.
As things stand, there is a distance in negotiations. Chelsea have reportedly made contact with his representative to analyse the possibility of signing him in future.
The Blues currently have a star-studded midfield trio in Moises Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez and Romeo Lavia, but the latter has been injury prone for some period.
Chelsea could look to offload the Belgium international at the end of the campaign. They could make a formal offer for Mainoo if he does not pen fresh terms at United.
