Man Utd make official bid to sign Danish defender
Manchester United have made a formal transfer bid to sign Patrick Dorgu from Lecce this winter, according to Relevo.
The Red Devils are determined to bolster the left wing-back position and reports claim that Dorgu is the main target for them.
It is now revealed that they have made an opening offer worth €27 million for the 20-year-old, but Lecce want at least €40 million.
The Serie A outfit are aware of the interest from Napoli and they are reluctant to provide any discount on the Dane this winter.
Napoli are willing to allow the defender to stay at Lecce for the campaign, but United still have an advantage in the transfer race.
Dorgu is keen on moving to Old Trafford during the current transfer window and the onus is on United to make an improved bid.
United are preparing to part ways with Tyrell Malacia to compensate for the potential arrival of Dorgu, who can play on the right wing too.
