Athletic Bilbao star ruled out of Man Utd games?

Athletic Bilbao star Oihan Sancet could be ruled out of the Europa League semi-finals against Manchester United this month, according to Spanish outlet Marca.

The Red Devils progressed to the last four of the Europa League after a 7-6 aggregate win over Lyon. They are now scheduled to tackle Athletic for a place in the final.

Ahead of those ties, Marca claim that Sancet has picked up a fresh hamstring injury and the severity could sideline him for the next couple of weeks.

Sancet is expected to miss the first leg of the Europa League semi-final at home on Thursday. He is also unlikely to be present for the reverse fixture at Old Trafford.

Barring a miraculous recovery, the La Liga outfit will have to cope without their main playmaker. Sancet has been phenomenal this term with 17 goals and three assists.

He has outshined Nico Williams over the course of the campaign. Williams has the opportunity to stand out for the Basque outfit in the upcoming ties against United.
