Liverpool exploring deal for €100m Bundesliga striker
Liverpool are exploring a potential deal for Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike this summer, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.
The Merseyside giants have been very active during the early phase of the summer. They have already recruited Jeremie Frimpong from Leverkusen.
The Reds have also agreed a club-record fee worth €150 million for the purchase of playmaker Florian Wirtz from Leverkusen.
The club are likewise working on the transfer of Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez. A deal could be finalised after the Cherries land a replacement.
Jacobs now reports that the Premier League champions are open to landing a marquee striker and are exploring a deal for Ekitike.
The Frenchman had a superb 2024/25 campaign with Eintracht. He registered 22 goals and 12 assists in all competitions.
Eintracht have opened the door for the departure of the former PSG man, but they are expected to hold out for €100m to sell him.
It remains to be seen whether the Reds will make such an outlay.
