Chelsea agree terms with Dutch winger ahead of transfer

Chelsea have reportedly agreed personal terms with Dutch winger Xavi Simons ahead of his potential transfer from RB Leipzig this summer.
The Netherlands international had a good 2024/25 campaign with the Bundesliga outfit. He registered 19 goal contributions despite missing two months of the season with an ankle problem.
He is now prepared to pursue a new challenge in his career and reports claim that the Blues have a verbal agreement with the attacker. Furthermore, talks are underway with Leipzig to settle on the fee.
The German outfit want at least €70m for the versatile forward, but the Blues remain optimistic of landing him for less. They are keen to sort out a deal quickly as Bayern and Arsenal are keeping tabs.
The Club World Cup champions are determined to avoid any possible hijack and plan to negotiate on the payment package and terms within the next 24 hours if possible, as per Sky Sport in Germany.
