Both Chelsea and Tottenham are interested in Real Sociedad's attacking midfielder Brais Mendez, as the Spain international has apparently asked his current club for a move. The 28-year-old playmaker has caught the eye since his arrival in Sociedad in 2022, and has had an impressive start to the 2025-26 league season with one goal in four appearances in La Liga.
Despite the arrival of Xavi Simons, Tottenham are still seeking midfield depth and have identified Mendez as a possible new arrival. Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca is also tracking a new attacking midfielder, and the player's agent has already been discussing a potential move to West London with the Blues' representatives.
Prior to Real Sociedad, Mendez played for Celta Vigo and spent a total of ten years at the club, emerging through the team's youth ranks. He also established himself in the club's first-team before making a transfer to his current club.
The player is reportedly valued by Sociedad at around 15 million euros, a cut price fee for a player that is reportedly entering the final twelve months of his contract.
