Chelsea are favourites ahead of Arsenal to sign Marseille striker Robinio Vaz, according to Caught Offside.

The 18-year-old has had a wonderful breakthrough campaign with Marseille and has already bagged four goals and two assists from 12 Ligue 1 appearances.

His form has caught the eye of elite Premier League clubs including Chelsea and Arsenal, and reports claim that the former are the front-runners to land his signature.

Marseille have no plans to part ways with the Frenchman in January, but they could open the door for a transfer at the end of the ongoing campaign.

It is claimed that a package of €30 million could be sufficient to prise him away from the Ligue 1 outfit during next summer's transfer window.

The arrival of Vaz could pave the way for a possible exit from the Blues. Marc Guiu seems the most likely candidate to head for the exit door.

He was loaned out to Sunderland at the start of the campaign, but was recalled before the summer deadline after Liam Delap's injury.
