Arsenal facing anxious wait on injured duo for Aston Villa clash

Arsenal are facing an anxious wait over the fitness of Jurrien Timber and Riccardo Calafiori ahead of the Premier League clash against Aston Villa at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night.
The Gunners are presently top of the standings with a slender two-point lead over Manchester City. They are also three points ahead of the Villans, whom they host at the Emirates in a couple of days.
Ahead of the encounter, the club are facing an anxious wait over the fitness of Timber and Calafiori, who missed the 2-1 Premier League victory over Brighton & Hove Albion due to injuries.
Timber was ruled out after he fell awkwardly in training before the game, while Calafiori also picked up a minor muscle injury. He was named in the starting XI, but was withdrawn in the warm-up.
The duo are expected to be assessed in the next 24 hours and it is unclear whether they will be deemed fit to face the Villans.
