Tottenham stance on signing Leon Goretzka revealed

Tottenham Hotspur have no desire to land Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka during the winter transfer window.
The north London giants have had a poor first half to the Premier League season, and they have picked up only 25 points from 18 matches.
The club are already seven points behind the final Champions League spot, and need a huge turnaround during the backend of the season.
Teamtalk recently linked Spurs with an approach for Goretzka, but the speculation has been quickly dismissed by a club insider.
Spurs are prioritising young midfielders with potential going forward, and they have earmarked Crystal Palace's Adam Wharton as a prime target.
A January move is unlikely on the cards, but the situation could be different in the summer when Palace could sanction his sale for the right price.
Manchester United are also closely monitoring Wharton who could be signed for a package between £80-100 million next summer.
Liverpool and Real Madrid are likewise admirers of the 21-year-old.
