Turkish giants Besiktas have reportedly proposed to land Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo on loan during the winter transfer window.

Mainoo has yet to start in the Premier League this campaign. He is currently out injured, but he is still considering his future away from the Red Devils.

Amidst this, it is claimed that Besiktas have proposed to sign Mainoo on an 18-month loan deal and a formal offer has been placed on the table.

The Red Devils are highly unlikely to consider it, given they are short in the midfield department with the lack of quality depth in the squad.

United have decided against making any winter signings which means that Mainoo may not be allowed to leave on loan in the near future.

Furthermore, the midfielder himself may snub a move to Besiktas.

He is eyeing a temporary move to boost his World Cup prospects with England and a switch to Besiktas is unlikely to increase his chances.
