Chelsea ready to pay £130m to sign Vinicius Junior

Chelsea to land Vinicius?

Chelsea are reportedly prepared to pay a staggering fee of £130 million including add-ons to sign Real Madrid attacker Vinicius Junior this winter.

The Blues have had a frustrating first half to the Premier League campaign. They were six points behind leaders Arsenal in November, but have now dropped 17 points behind the north London giants.

Chelsea recently made the decision to part ways with manager Enzo Maresca. Liam Rosenior has joined as the replacement, but the club could now make a huge bid to land Vinicius from Real Madrid, as per Fichajes.

Vinicius had a fall-out with manager Xabi Alonso earlier this campaign, but has since sorted it out. Despite this, there is much speculation that he could pursue a new challenge away from Madrid pretty soon.

Chelsea are being linked with a shock move for the Brazilian superstar, but we don't believe they can afford him due to their wage structure.

The Blues have a strict salary cap of £150,000 per week for new signings and Vinicius is unlikely to accept such a meagre offer as he currently earns a base salary of £424,000 per week at Los Blancos.
