Man Utd confirm Casemiro departure

Manchester United have confirmed that midfielder Casemiro will depart after his contract expires at the end of the campaign.
The Brazil international has been a key player for the Red Devils over the past three-and-a-half years and he will now pursue a new challenge.
Casemiro's contract had an option for another 12 months, but United made it clear to him that the clause won't be triggered.
United have officially announced the decision, and the club are expected to proceed with their search for a marquee replacement.
There are no standout targets at the moment, but reports have claimed that Nottingham Forest ace Elliot Anderson is the prime choice.
Anderson has been closely tracked since his move from Newcastle United in the summer of 2024. He would be a fantastic signing.
The Englishman has similar defensive traits as Casemiro, but has a better work rate and would be a perfect upgrade for the club.
He is likely to cost in upwards of £100 million this summer.
