Chelsea trigger recall clause for Mamadou Sarr

Chelsea have triggered the recall clause in the contract of centre-back Mamadou Sarr, according to The Telegraph.
The Frenchman was loaned out to sister club Strasbourg last summer, and he has been a key player for them.
However, he has now been recalled by the Blues. Aaron Anselmino will join the Ligue 1 outfit on loan instead.
The decision was made after speaking with manager Liam Rosenior, who worked with Sarr at the Ligue 1 side.
Anselmino was recently recalled from his loan stint at Borussia Dortmund, and will now spend the season in France.
Chelsea had initially planned to sign Rennes star Jeremy Jacquet to bolster the central defensive department this winter.
However, they were beaten to his signature by Liverpool, which forced the Blues to recall Sarr from Strasbourg instead.
Rosenior believes Sarr has the credentials to succeed in the Premier League and could feature for the Blues this month.
Chelsea could pursue a marquee centre-back in the summer.
