Arsenal want to sign Ousmane Diomande

Arsenal could compete with Chelsea and Newcastle United to land Sporting CP defender Ousmane Diomande during the summer transfer window, according to Record.
The Gunners have been frequently linked with the Ivorian star over the years and could revive their pursuit this summer. Record claim that Diomande is likely to leave the Portuguese champions despite penning a new long-term deal.
He currently has a release clause worth €80 million in his contract, but reports claim that the centre-back dreams of playing in the Premier League.
Sporting CP renewed his contract in January to deter suitors, but they are likely to provide a discount on the clause figure at the end of the season.
Arsenal are mentioned as one of Diomande's main admirers. They have already established contact with the player's agents on many occasions.
Diomande has also been linked with Newcastle and Crystal Palace, but the latter may not be an option amid their average league campaign.
