Man City star suffers hamstring injury vs Chelsea

Manchester City defender Nico O'Reilly suffered a potential hamstring injury during the Premier League win over Chelsea on the road on Sunday.

The Cityzens returned to winning ways in the top-flight with a 3-0 victory over the Blues on the road. O'Reilly broke the deadlock early in the second half.

The Englishman continued to impress before an untimely hamstring issue ruled him out. Rayan Ait Nouri came off the bench to replace the City graduate.

O'Reilly now faces a race against time to be fit for the league clash against Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium next weekend. It could be a make-or-break in the title pursuit.

Man City are six points behind the Gunners for the top spot with a game in hand and can have their title destiny in their own hands by beating the Gunners.

O'Reilly was the difference in the Carabao Cup final win over the Gunners, and could have a key role to play next weekend if he is deemed fit.
