Man Utd already in talks with Bournemouth defender

Manchester United have already entered talks with Bournemouth defender Marcos Senesi over a potential free transfer this summer.

The Argentine's current deal with the Cherries expires at the end of June and he has no plans of penning an extension with the South Coast outfit.

He has his sights on pursuing a new challenge, and reports claim that United have engaged in discussions with his entourage over personal terms.

Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are also in the mix for the player, but United have a clear upper hand with likely Champions League qualification.

The Red Devils are seven points ahead of sixth-placed Chelsea in the Premier League and are on course to return to Europe's elite club competition.

This should put them on the front seat to land the former Feyenoord man. They may see him as competition to Lisandro Martinez in the left centre-back role.

Senesi has also been linked with Atletico Madrid and Barcelona in recent months, but he could be tempted to stay in the Premier League.
