Man Utd want to sign Cameroon star to replace Casemiro

Manchester United have their sights on landing Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Carlos Baleba as a replacement for Casemiro this summer.

The Red Devils are expected to spend big in the midfield department, considering Casemiro will depart at the expiry of his contract on June 30.

Baleba was on their radar at the start of the campaign and reports claim that they are prepared to return for his services in the next transfer window.

Contact has been established with the player's agents for some time and United are optimistic of landing him for a knockdown price this summer.

Brighton valued him at more than 100 million pounds last summer, but the price tag could be around 60 million pounds after a below-par season.

Baleba has looked out of sorts at Brighton in several games, and this has not deterred the Red Devils' pursuit, and they believe in his potential.

A formal move could be made for his signature when the season ends.
