Man Utd favourites to sign Danish midfielder

Manchester United are reportedly favourites to sign Sporting CP midfielder Morten Hjulmand at the end of the campaign.

The Red Devils are determined to bolster their midfield department this summer with multiple departures on the cards.

Casemiro will leave when his contract expires on June 30, while the club also have plans to part ways with Manuel Ugarte.

Amidst this, A Bola claim that Hjulmand will play his final game for Sporting CP this weekend before pursuing a new challenge abroad.

Man Utd are in the lead for the Denmark international, who has an informal agreement to be sold by Sporting CP this summer.

The Dane was eager to leave the former Portuguese champions last summer, but he was convinced to stay for another year.

He will be parting ways with the Lisbon giants this time around and could be available for between £35 million and £43 million.

Hjulmand has also been linked with Arsenal in the past.
