Man Utd unlikely to sign 22yo midfielder

Manchester United have been handed a blow in the pursuit of Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Red Devils are planning to reinforce their midfield department this summer, and they plan to make a couple of signings at least.

Atalanta's Ederson has already agreed personal terms with the Red Devils, and he is expected to join for around £38 million in the next few days.

Scott, 22, has been another player on United's transfer radar, but they are set to miss out on him due to the Cherries' stance on the Englishman.

Bournemouth have just qualified for the Europa League for the very first time, and they plan to keep hold of their prized assets next term.

The South Coast club have no plans of parting ways with Scott, Junior Kroupi or Rayan, and will only entertain bids in the summer of 2027.

Rayan was formerly a target for United during his time at Vasco da Gama. He has been a revelation since his winter move to Bournemouth.
