Arsenal & Man Utd want to sign 23yo English star

Arsenal and Manchester United remain in contention to sign Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson this summer.

The England international is widely expected to leave the Tricky Trees, and reports claim that Manchester City are leading the hunt.

The Cityzens have already spoken with the player's representatives and remain optimistic of securing an agreement for the 23-year-old.

Amidst this, Sky Sports claim that Arsenal and United remain in the pursuit and could swoop for the Englishman if Man City fail to seal a deal.

Forest are demanding at least £100 million for the Newcastle United graduate, and Man City are currently far apart from negotiating a transfer.

If there is no resolution in the coming weeks, Arsenal and United could lodge bids of their own for the highly-rated defensive midfielder.

Anderson has his sights on playing Champions League football, and has not ruled out joining another club if Man City can't afford his services.

Bayern Munich and Real Madrid are keeping tabs on him too.
