Chelsea have reportedly agreed personal terms with Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton ahead of a potential summer transfer.
Wharton has been a key player for the Eagles over the past few years and was the man of the match in the Conference League final win over Rayo Vallecano.
He has been touted for a bigger challenge elsewhere this summer and reports claim that the Blues have reached an agreement on personal terms with the Englishman.
Chelsea still need to negotiate payment terms with Palace, which won't be straightforward. The south London outfit could demand at least £80m for the talented ace.
If the Blues were to sign Wharton, it could mean the departure of Enzo Fernandez, who has been linked with Real Madrid and Manchester City in recent weeks.
Arsenal are also admirers of the World Cup winner. Chelsea are prepared to sanction his sale if they receive a package of around £120 million in the next transfer window.
